THE YOUTH WILL
LEAD THE CHANGE.
She is set on a mission to make a difference in her community one step at a time. Waimānalo, Hawai'i is her home, and she intends to lead the way to make an impact and create change. Empowering those around her to help those less fortunate keiki and their ʻohana through her annual Christmas project. With just a Little Bit Aloha...it can happen!

"I say this because I know what I have planned for you," says the Lord. "I have good plans for you. I don't plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future. Then you will call my name. You will come to me and pray to me. And I will listen to you. You will search for me. And when you search for me with all your heart, you will find me!"
Jeremiah 29:11-13

ABOUT US
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The project
Little Bit Aloha is a foundation designed to give back to our local communities by helping the less fortunate keiki and ʻohana of Hawaiʻi during Christmas. The whole concept is to bring a Little Bit Aloha to those who are in need of it the most. By providing a new unwrapped toy, gift, toiletries, necessities, etc. we can put a little smile on their face. Every donation will be specified for either a girl, boy, and/or ʻohana. The toy or gift will then be presented with a big red bow and delivered to the annual Christmas project. With a Little Bit Aloha it can truly make a world of a difference to anyone less fortunate!
her mission
Payton Wailea Cosier is set on a mission to make a difference in her community one step at a time. Hawaiʻi is her home and she intends to lead the way, be the difference, and make the change. Empowering those around her to help those that are less fortunate.
Payton was born and raised in Waimānalo. She always puts God first, loves to be surrounded by her ʻohana, spending time with her friends, loves and adores soccer, and going to the beach. Payton started her project when she was in the 3rd grade at the age of 8 years old attending Windward Nazarene Academy in Kāne‘ohe. Payton now attends Kamehameha Kapālama and is striving to continue her Little Bit Aloha path for years to come.
In December 2013 Payton came to her mom after she donated to Operation Christmas and told her that she wanted to do something similar to help the keiki and their ʻohana in her hometown. It all started with this little girls idea to make a difference and she hopes that you will join her on her journey to give a Little Bit Aloha !

How can my organization get involved by volunteering?
-
There are several ways, one way is to donate so that we can build Little Bit Aloha and itʻs future by providing toys, gifts, necessities, food, or monetary donations so that we will be able to purchase packaging and marketing material. Another way is your organization can volunteer at one of the projects by assisting with: toy and gift sorting, set up/clean up, donation assortment and distribution, toy drive or drop off location site, or providing and serving meals. This plays a vital role in helping the day of project run smoothly and efficiently. Lastly, your organization can become the location site for the project to be hosted at. We work with you directly to make sure we can accommodate your organizations schedule, logistics, and what foundations we will be working with

If we decide to donate money how is it processed?
-
At this time this is a foundation that Payton has started and her projects fall under an umbrella to Hui Mahiʻai ʻĀina, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. Little Bit Aloha works closely with several different non-profit organizations during each project. Payton's ultimate goal in the near future is to turn her foundation into her own fully registered non-profit 501 (c) (3). Payton's whole concept is all based on a little girls idea to create something that hopefully will progress into something greater in the future. We have set up a Paypal account where you can send donations to (If need be, we can supply donation receipts upon request.) On the top of every page is where you'll find the YELLOW DONATE button to make a contribution. Everyone will be recognized for their help and contributions along with a personalized mahalo card from Payton.

How does it work once we commit?
-
If you are donating: Purchase a new unwrapped toy, gift, necessities, perishable food or a meal. Drop donation off at a designated drop off location(s) or schedule a pickup. Our crew will wrap the toy or gift with our signature red ribbon. Together (if you are available) we distribute the donation at our designated project and watch the happy keiki and ʻohana receive their Little Bit Aloha gifts and food. See our Get Involved section for complete details OR Projects section for upcoming projects.

-
If gifting necessities, what type of items do you recommend?
-
Anything that may be used for an 'ohana on a daily basis. Make sure the items are new and not used. Some examples are: clothes, shoes, slippers, socks, toiletries, school supplies, non-perishable snacks, etc. If the project involves a foundation that supplied a "Wish List" from their outreach program, then we will honor that list to the best of our ability.

-
How does the meal donations/sponsorship work?
-
We accept any type of meal donations to serve day of: main dish, side dish, deserts, and drinks. This will provide each keiki and their ʻohana with a hot meal to enjoy at the project. We also accept day of participation from local businesses or organizations wanting to sponsor the project and participate in providing and distributing their prepped meal. Another option is to lead a food drive where you would provide your collected food donations: fruits, vegetables, eggs, bread, boxed and canned goods, etc. at the project.
